- Abnormal Dietary Requirements (Living Flesh of a Sapient Being)
- Massive Increase In Heart Rate
- Notable Drop In Blood Pressure
- More Prone To Skin Diseases/Afflictions

- Major Decrease In Rate of Aging (Some Speculate On Possibility of Immortality)

Treatment
Afflicted individual must subsist entirely on currently living plant matter to avoid further complications and/or death.
Prognosis
No cure has yet been found, but those afflicted can expect to live virtually entirely normal, though slightly longer than average, lives, assuming they stick to their treatment.
Sequela
Afflictions of the skin and stomach become far more common after contracting this disease.
Prevention
Avoiding very close physical proximity to anyone with the affliction.
Cultural Reception
As a treatment and method of managing the affliction that harmed no one was realized very early on, those afflicted are rarely stigmatized for it, if anything they are pitied somewhat, but rarely do the afflicted or others even view it as something to make a fuss over.
It's only those who do not receive or do not wish treatment, who become monstrosities feasting on the flesh of the living, those who are called "valutaels" (those afflicted but undergoing treatment are never referred to as this except in cases where one wishes to be incredibly offensive as it is considered a slur), who are ostracized and usually hunted down and killed.
