Moon Madness

Moon Madness, as it is commonly referred to, is a series of effects related to late-stage therianthropy. It effects every therianthrope in the specific late-stage age group. There is no prevention or cure.

Causes

Due to the effects that therianthropy has on the human body, the mental and physical states decay before the animal within does. Moon Madness commonly occurs in the 200s age range.

Symptoms

During the "incubation" stage, the symptoms are usually fever, chills, forgetfulness, and feeling lethargic. Lack of self-care and management also occurs. As time progresses, the human restrains weaken and the animal inside shows itself.
In therianthropes where there is no human elements, the two animals break their bond and try to operate and be the one in control at the same time.

Treatment

Without a cure, making the human soul rest easy is the best that can be done. Hospice before complete decay is often considered to be best.

Prognosis

The decay of the bond or human spirit runs the body into chaos. Therianthropes may get "shift-locked" or "frozen".
