Prince Nicolas Ravenlight

Born into the nobility of family Ravenlight, Nicolas had a very studious childhood. Hours upon hours of historical, ethical, moral, political and combat study. Unlike his three older brothers, Nicolas was never destined to be a warrior. He had a scholars mind and a knack for magic more than a mind for battle and blade. His brothers were very supportive, especially Peter, who he himself would admit his mind is dull. Nicolas, although three years junior to Peter, acted as his tutor. By all rights, Nicolas is a savant, always able to quickly master whatever task he sets his mind to. However, he is awkward, not one to initiate a conversation, but once the word play starts flowing, he will never stop talking. Nicolas has a kind heart, and a love for all things that grow and beasts that live among the land, if he weren't dressed in noble fashion, one would quickly mistaken him for a wise druidic apprentice.
Before the destruction of his kingdom and family, Nicolas was a pacifist, never once expressed ill will on another. Until his family was brutally murdered and he was ushered away into the wilds. His father, brothers, sister and mother were executed, and he never recieved the ability to give them a proper burial, something that vexes him to this day. Now, his heart is full of vengeance and the wish to enact justice on behalf of his deceased family. By 1660, he had grown into a potent spell caster, full of hatred, but not uncalculated or foolish. Many times has the Archduchy of Whitesword attempted to lure him and his men into traps, only to fool them senseless.
His memories of his family and his former home of Ravenlight Keep are jumbled, and he cant recall much about his father who was absent due to duties in Lastreach serving his tenure as king. The men who stole him away at the Siege of Ravenlight Keep became his family, whom he is fiercely protective of. A former knight of Ravenlight, Sir Harris Rook, has served as his father figure for years now. Sir Rook however is at the end of his rope due to a drinking habit and unkempt appearance. A woman by the name of Tulia Landis has taken up Nicolas as a mother figure, she herself spent her life as a woodsman, and knows all the back trails in west of The Mirrored River like the back of her hand.
