Order of Torment

The Order of Torment are a militant arm of chaotic brutality. They serve their dark master, Baphomet the Prince of Beasts. The goals of the order are to create clandestine chaos wherever they go. However, they spend a majority of their assets and time on destroying temples and organizations dedicated to good aligned deities. They despise cults that worship devils and actively seek them out to destroy them at all costs. They frequently commune with the personal envoy of Baphomet, Darlaxl. Darlaxl is a massive flame engulfed fiendish minotaur, his word is final, as stated by his ending phrase 'I have spoken'. Baphomet is the embodiment of savagery, an insidious force that worms its way into the heart of his followers to deceive them into embracing brutality. He seeks to use them to further his schemes, notably to gain the upper hand in his battles against Yeenoghu, demon prince of Gnolls. A multitude of other twisted creatures revere Baphomet as well, some becoming his thralls, and if they pleased their bestial patron, they would be granted ruler-ship of a portion of the Endless Maze and daemonic mutations. Those who displease Baphomet are dragged into the maze and eaten. The cult is most notable for its catastrophic and suspected near total destruction of the Church of the One True God in 1656. Where they nearly brought down the entire organization in two nights, and assassinating their Arch-Cardinal.
