Tenebra

The tenebra is an elemental disease with devastating effects if not cured in time, however as it is asymptomatic in the early stage it is extremely difficult to recognize and when its effects are manifested there is no way to cure the infected person. This disease is extremely rare, but still very feared as it can be a threat for many people's life.

Causes

Although many associate the tenebra with bad luck, this disease is caused by exposure with the dark matter in reasonable quantity. For individuals with a weak elemental balance, the exposure of a small quantity of this substance can be enough.

Symptoms

In the first stage, there is no sure symptom strictly associated with the tenebra, although research evidence confirm that the disease start manifest itself with recurring nightmares that gradually become more horrible and realistic.

Treatment

With light magic patients affected by the tenebra can be cured without consequences, but as it is difficult to recognize the disease in the early stages it is often too late to conduct an effective treatment. In some cases it was possible to cure the disease in more advanced stages, but it was impossible to revert serious mental consequences casued by it and the healed patienst were unable to continue with a normal life.

Prognosis

In a first stage, patients affected with the tenebra often manifest mental disorders such as anxiety, depression, irritability in combination with highly realistic allucinations and visions of death people, often strictly related to the affected person. Impressionable or weak individuals also manifest strong physical reactions such as vomiting and fainting. In a later stage the affected patienst begin to act eggressively toward others and lose touch with reality, they become extremely dangerous for others as they are capable of killing indiscriminatedly.

All individuals can be potentially affected by the tenebra, however it is confirmed that some are more susceptible than others, although it is not sure in which way.

Epidemiology

Only children born by other individuals affected by the tenebra are affected as well. Otherwise in most cases the disease is not contagious.
