The High Pope

High Pope Loraus (a.k.a. The Pope, Pope King, Holy King.)

The High Pope is a powerful Holy man and head of the Church on the continent of Vimerias. Over the years his status and power has grown immensely that the people may often refer him to him as ‘The Holy King’ or the ‘Pope King’. Of course this is actually offensive to the Church and the Pope himself as their duty is nothing royalty and they are forbidden from holding titles outside that of the Church.
The Pope is at war with the King and wishes to cast him out and have the Kingdom run entirely by the Church. Religion is very important to many of the people so the Church has quite a lot of support and many powerful people want to exploit it to gain power for themselves.

He is beginning to show signs of age as he is 53. He has been Pope for some years now which can not do good to anyone who is constantly fighting for power.

Personal history

Loraus grew up with his Uncle high ranking in the church and this is how he got into it himself. He has been in the church for most of his life as his Father went against their religion from a young age, yet his Mother insisted he join to have a better life and spread the light of the Gods. He had gained a great reputation amongst his fellow church goers for expediting his father’s atonement.

Accomplishments & Achievements

Expediting his Father’s atonement.  Gaining the favour of the people.  Becoming High Pope.

Failures & Embarrassments

Having a father whom went against the will of the Gods and betrayed the church.
