Silver Haze

Silver Haze is a condition that is gained from the Silver Cloud flower. These flowers were mentioned in the poem: The Tree-Man and Memeran the Gleaming and are native to the temperate climate of the Valley of Whispering White. Due to this tale being common knowledge around much of Valgalia, many peoples believe them to thin the veil and allow communication between the world of the living and the dead. Others believe the flowers give hallucinations only. If one wanted to connect with a deceased being, one would need to travel to the Valley and await nightfall for the flowers to open and inhale the scent of the flowers or eat the inner petals (particularly the elongated tips). Note that one would only do this if they truly believed the tales and if one felt bold enough to travel to lands so close to darkness.

Transmission & Vectors

The condition can be a result of inhaling the scent of the Silver Cloud flower, or from eating the inner petals. The elongated tips of the petals hold more of the chemical and will hail a stronger, more vivid experience. This is not recommended by many, as the Valley of Whispering White is now known as the Vale of Shadows and many shades of darkness now wander there.

Symptoms

Symptoms of the Silver Haze are sleep-like and are said to assist in visions of ghosts and beings of other dimensions. One experiencing the haze may say they can speak to ghosts.

Treatment

There are no cures for this condition as it is only temporary. Eating the elongated tips where the chemical is heavy, may result in the condition lasting longer.

Prognosis

After ingesting or inhaling the chemicals, one is quite alert for some time. The second stage is the sleepy haze like time, and the final stage is when most fall into a deep sleep.

Prevention

As this condition comes from flowers, the most apt way to avoid it would be to steer clear of said flowers and any tincture listing them as an ingredient.

Cultural Reception

The people of the Valley/Vale in which this chemical is found, find the flowers to be quite important in their history. It was one of their people Memeran the Gleaming whom with her lover the Tree-man; sung these blossoms into existence. Other peoples over the world believe these flowers to be magical, and some believe deadly and dark.
