Lord
A Lord is a powerful man whom oversees a specific region within the Kingdom of Vimerias and takes care of this land for the King. His duty is to provide order within the Kings lands and look after the people of the land. Each Lord swore allegiance to the King and was given land in return and they were expected to come to arms to fight for the King when called upon. Being a Lord has many benefits and provides one with a legacy, however, there is a lot of pressure and responsiblity due.
Qualifications
Being a Lord is a hereditary rank, it is passed to the eldest child.
Requirements
That one is of the family holding the title.
Duties
The duties of a Lord is to serve his King. One must protect the land of the King and the people inhabiting the land. If called to sword the Lord need muster his forces and fight for the King. A Lord has many duties as he must fulfill such as performing judge, carrying out punishments, managing his army, dealing with problems the people have, ensuring food is growing and more.
Responsibilities
A day in the duties of a Lord includes training, meeting with his councellors, dealing with important matters, listening to problems the people have, hunting, family obligations.
Benefits
Benefits of being a Lord is having land, having power over others, having money and collecting tax on behalf of the King, having as much food as desired, access to weapons and other resources and materials.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
Upon death in which case the rank passes to the eldest child or relative. Sometimes during civil war, the rank may be comandeered by another family or they could be excommunicated for breaking the law.
