Dragon Scale

Dragonscales are magical items that are said to bring luck and fortune to whom bears one. They are rare to come by and can mostly be found on Dragonscale, the ancient home of Dragons or in Hedgewater Marsh where there are Dragon bone ruins.   They are usually common within high nobility, with Lords and Kings framing them and having them in their homes to attract the benefits and show off their status.   There is no proof that the scales really do bring fortune, though it’s hard not to believe when Lords and Kings have them... or perhaps they have them because they are Lords and Kings.   The size of the scales can range from larger ones which are 30cm long and 20cm wide to smaller more delicate ones that are only 10cm long and 6cm wide. The large ones are framed as they are too heavy to be carried with the small ones often being kept safely in pockets and bags.

Manufacturing process

One must surely know spells to create a replica of a Dragon Scale. Perhaps these fakes are forged from crystal?

Significance

These scales are said to bring good fortune and many Kings and important nobleman may have them.
Item type
Magical
Rarity
Dragon scales are rare as all the Dragons are now gone from the world. Wyvern scales are corrupt so they are not believed to hold the same magical properties. Many nobles and Kings may have them framed and this is possibly why people think they bring good fortune. These nobles have the resources and power to go seeking for the scales whereas, most commoners do not.
