Arenam Market Events

The Markets of Arenam are a place in Doranor full of foods from all across Windoreld. People may come from over Doranor to purchase foreign and rare foods. The Market Events happen once a year in Spring and offer a large range of rarer foods and items.
Arenam not only imports and exports animals, they also harvest and sell a lot of sea food as they are on the ocean and are a port town. Arenam is not very large, though large enough to be called a town.
Springtime brings a larger range of creatures as it is breeding season and in order to attract more people to their market, they hold animal games. The animals fight each other in a pit and this is the main attraction of Arenam year round.
Their location is perfect for trading with Vimerias and even all the way down in Narvay and lands in the South-East.

History

Arenam is the most prominent trading port in Doranor and imports/exports goods all over Windoreld, especially animals. Arenam is an older settlement which has been operating for hundreds of years. Although the inhabitants are not very rich themselves, they bring a lot of money in for Doranor.

Components and tools

Items that may be found at the Arenam Market Events are starfish and seahorses on a stick, sea urchin roe, pickled goats tongue, hard ostrich eggs from Lyran and peacock jerky from Narvay, the land of the Wizards. Some items may get stranger and rarer depending on the time of year.

Participants

People from Arenam and surrounding settlements often parade the markets looking for items and food, some people may travel from the capital and others from across the entire continent.

Observance

The Arenam Markets happen monthly, though the larger events happen once a year in Spring when everything is more lively.
