Following a lead on Nixx's newest bounty contract, The Musical Menagerie was just been ambushed in a rainy alley on their way back to The Blue Balor. Iris, Nixx, Ren, and Petrus were cleaning up and looting what they could when they heard some clapping from a gentleman at the end of the alley. He claimed to be a friend seeking to give them a job but was insistent they speak indoors.
You head back to the Balor to loop in Comet and Arcann and to discuss with this elven man. There is some unfruitful conversation at first so he decides to buy everyone a round of drinks and he springs for the expensive special of the day. His name is Erodh Tathviel and he is a young first lieutenant for the Zheleso. He wanted to thank them for clearing the Wuyun Gates earlier, and he was asked to enlist their help with a bit of a troublesome “mold” problem that would impede the Merryfrond's Day festivities.
The party was already embroiled in a hot lead on Nixx’s bounty, Tybek, but this also seemed pressing. So, while most people rested for the day, Arcann found his Elven friend Erodh at the front gates of Nicodranas and scoped out the trouble.
The lieutenant introduced you to the wine vendor for the festival, Borru Crorirthe , who leads you downstairs to the mold. The “mold” turned out to be Myconids which you know a lot about due to your nat20 nature check! You wisely decide to regroup and return with your companions at a later time.
Which you do! Everyone joins this time and, lit by Comet’s dancing lights, a mighty fight ensues. It’s pretty intense and took quite some time in real time, so Borru retrieved Erodh to help clean up the final kills.
