013 • Bounty & Ooze Alley

Conthsen, the 28th of Thunsheer

Following a week of downtime, there are 3 days until Merryfrond's Day. Nixx the Many rides back into town as stormclouds gather and returns to The Blue Balor as the downpour begins. Trudging inside, he finds his companions eating, and he proposes taking on a new bounty contract together. Happy for the activity, yall oblige and get the scoop on Tybek.

You make your way through the rainy streets to his recent sighting at The Withered Bird Inn in The Restless Wharf. After casing the ramshackle joint and eventually talking with the Elven proprietor, Dorophil Galamin, you leave without much information. Being in Traxidor's neck of the woods, you decide to see if he knows anything. He doesn't know much but he subtly implies it's an entrance to The Shadows.

Dashing back across the street to talk to Dorophil, he won't let you in even though you have an electrum coin. Iris presses for more information, and, on a nat20, Dorophil will now answer any and all questions you ever have about The Shadows as long as you do him a single favor at some point. He explains that this coin does not grant passage at this entrance, but says it sounds like someone in your party does have the correct coin.

You realize that Comet's coin is likely the correct one so you head back out into the rain to pick him up. The rain has thickened at this point and as you head down an alley you notice a man floating at the far side. Just then, lightning flashes and reveals he's actually decomposed inside a gelatinous cube! As you advance down the alley on this ooze, a second ooze drops behind you, cutting off your exit. A fight ensues, and the party prevails.

We'll pick up the session with you trying to loot what was inside the oozes in the middle of a storm.
