The Illegal Gopher

The Tavern's Tale The Illegal Gopher is owned by the unmarried business pair of Charlotte Kaz and Logak. Charlotte is a simple human woman who loves a good joke often at the expense of her customers and purchased the tavern with the aid of Logak after he quit his life of adventuring on the wastes of Xhorhas. The tavern is of aristocratic quality, and its main draw is the statue of its namesake out front.
Barkeep The barkeep of the Illegal Gopher is a young non-binary halfling with an unusual humorless disposition. Their skin is sun-kissed from their days of travel out in the Marrow Valley and gray hairs have been purposefully dyed into their hair for a sort of flair. Their time as the barkeep has started to show signs of stress as wrinkles are beginning to form and they're putting on a bit of weight.
The Clientele On a typical night, the clientel at the Illegal Gopher can be described as impressively welcoming. On this occasion, there are over a dozen other people currently in the tavern. Some of the patrons are speaking in hushed tones, others are playing a game of dice, and a couple others are dancing/swaying to simple music. Sitting at a secluded table is a human male cleric of Bahamut named Thor Lightningroot, seeking out the cultist of Tiamat that have rumored to take shelter in town.
The Accomodations The rooms for rent at the Illegal Gopher are positively huge and kind of take care of. There are currently for rooms available for rent. The cost of a night's stay is 5gp. If the party stays the night there is an accident in the kitchen as Logak's old wound flairs up.

History

Was once on the verge of collapse before Charlotte Kaz and Logak bought the place from the previous owner. Logak's ties with forces from Xhorhas were enough to gain the attention of The Mardoon Family who came to learn about the place and stayed for the drinks.
Various high-ranking members of the family can often be found here on evenings when they're not in one of their numerous mansions.
