Borf the Bombastic
Bombastic Borf
Borf is a halfling from a far away land, the location of which he is reluctant to share. He's a bard and a master ventriloquist. He hates fighting and will avoid it if he can.
There is more to him than meets the eye, it would seem. For all his confidence and affability, no one has yet managed to get close to him, and when he is slighted, his fury is palpable.

Morality & Philosophy
Borf will do also anything to avoid violence, even attempting to peacefully split up a fight between kobolds and a gnome. It is not clear whether this is a moral compunction, an semi-voluntary compulsion or something else. Luckily, he is very good at talking his way out of trouble.
Borf arrived in Westlo with one, overriding need: to start a new life. He invested much of the gold he had come with in the Bardic Performance strand of Malmeck's School for Adventurers, and found himself disappointed by the lack of freedom of expression in the course, with much emphasis placed on learning the classical texts of bardic tradition. The result was glowing praise and high marks for extemporisation, performance and rhetoric, and almost no marks at all from his literary studies.
Borf was the only one of the party of Heroes to manage to get his refund paid out, thanks to the actions of a group of goblins with cool t-shirts. He paid for Pip's healing at the Temple of Dendrah and bought everyone drinks. The Heroes are the closest he has let people get to him for several years and he doesn't like to think about revealing his past to them.
He defeated the The Club of Earth dungeon by entering the suspended ceiling and helped rescue Neramew.
His quick anger when disrespected almost came to a head in a conversation with Tan Peart about rumors of logging in The Wilds, seeing him instead storm off out of the Temple of Dendrah. He remained with the party and came across the workers coppicing the trees. He took the second watch and left with his party in the morning.
On his return to the coppicers, he met the four rangers who had murdered them. Determined to have some sort of revenge, he led the rangers deeper into the forest and used magic to make the herbivorous hill ponies appear thirsty for human blood, allowing Joom Jim to rob them blind. Borf fainted while the other members of the party saw the dragon god, @Io.
Borf returned with his friends to Tan Peart and collected his 500GP.
