Mechanics & Inner Workings

It is modeled after Ordnance QF 6-pounder but uses ice beams instead of bullets or any related munitions. The ice is created by a miniature cyclotron like gizmo called an ice maker and is focused through a barrel; this also replaces the munitions element of the gun, The gizmo is powered by a battery who has enough energy stored for a year. The energy consumption was designed to use the least amount of electricity. There is also a timer and warm up gizmo that is located between the barrel and ice maker to prevent blockage. The stats reflected here are the one found during WW2.

Creation and History
It was invented by Silas Langdon and Felix Langdon during WW2. There were beta variations that included cold air blast and nitrogen. These variations became variations in there own right through theft during the 50's. If this was an element of Nelvana's theoretical publication then the beam would appear resembling several sci fi guns or a realistic one. If I had to put a different origin to detach from the war it would have to be apart of a weapons contract. During the next few decades the technology would be added to other military hardware mostly focusing on tanks, guns and rarely helicopters. During the late 80's and early 90's the technology became banned due to becoming a common extremist weapon and at this point the technology being able to reach absolute zero. During the 2000's it has be unbanned but restricted. A temperature cap has been put to prevent and reduce extensive damaging stemming from cold and thawing related damage. The restriction is that it cannot cause temperatures to go lower than 21 degrees Celsius in the human body. This mechanism also allows for non lethal freezing and can be set to such.

The rest are parts designed to withstand the cold generated from the icemaker. In theory you can design this weapon in a number of ways including tanks and guns.
