Social Structure

Largely aristocratic with the ruling elite comprising of several businessmen and noblemen. Most other positions are on the bottom of the wage gap.

Presumed to be able to adapt anywhere as with most Humans but seem to largely stay in a geographical region that spans a continent and contains 5-6 countries. They tend to live in cities, small towns and farms.

Naming Traditions

They tend to sound fancier the higher one is on the social ladder. Commoner names sound pretty generic and forgettable. Royal and noblemen names sound like they're trying a little too hard.

Major Organizations

The International Merchant Corp. Officially they are can't sell to other races but their rules are geared to put them at a disadvantage. This does not stop them however from changing prices or black market dealings.

Beauty Ideals

A common element amongst various cultures is cleanliness. It is just a matter of social standing, even though partially it is. It also a matter of beauty. Both genders will keep the cleanest clothes, skin and home possible. Unclean to bring up images of ugliness. Women will also wear makeup.

Gender Ideals

Oddly, they are more lenient with gender roles in spite of whatever sexism they have. For commoners, this comes out of necessity as their conditions demand it. This includes lying about their gender. Nobles and royalty will expect men to much of the work, with women dealing with housework (this includes dealing with taxes, groceries, appointment making home repair and other associated things to keep up the house and social standing). A role reversal is acceptable under the right circumstances.

Courtship Ideals

The first thing to do is to have any form of wealth then chose a partner within your level of hierarchy. Then you date them for an X amount of time and have a marriage. Your courtship and marriage should reflect your social status. And remember marriage is final and divorce is uncouth. This is how one does romance amongst Etherian Humans. As archaic as that sounds they do value commitment in a relationship and consider it romantic.

Relationship Ideals

They noble and rich consider it a no no to have a romantic relationship with a commoner. If so it would most like be a heterosexual one night stand. Note that status plays a part in who gets to romance whom.
Everybody else will take on heterosexual relationships. Romance does play a factor but things like offspring and financial/material gain also is a factor. It is believed that having some kind of net worth, connections or valuables will land you a lover more easily.
It should be noted that around Earth's 20th century, they do not consider dating anything outside of an Etherian Human to be within 'polite company'.

Average Technological Level

Share the same, or similar technological level with the other species they coexist with. Due to the many conflicts with the flamemen, they developed technologies to deal with them. This includes various explosives, flame proof and resistance suits and guns. With conflicts with the prang they developed and weaponized a radio transmitter. Upon investigation, it is nearly identical to Earth's radio transmitters and it they are used to exploit the sensitivty of the Prang's hearing.

Common Etiquette Rules

They must always have the cleanest possible house when guests are over. Drinks tend to be in goblets and the dining placements resemble something you'd see in an upper class table settings from the turn of the century.

Common Dress Code

Royalty and nobility tend to wear robes and gowns with fime materials, jewels and design. You'd probably be able to tell that they are wealthy. Everybody else tends to be either plain or drabber due to a noticeable wealth gap.

Culture and Cultural Heritage

Because of a wealth gap and systemic issues, an entire subculture of exchange of essential living materials grew between the common folk, Prang and Flamemen. This created the expression "It's easier to buy off a lower human than a human noble." It means it's easier to get something from desperation than comfortability along with various social disparity messages and helpfulness.
If the common human on Etheria developed a culture of underprivilege and meagerness than the nobility developed one of opulence and arrogance. The feel of it comes off as similar to 17th century european aristocracy.

Common Customs, Traditions and Rituals

It has been uncovered through modern items and historical records that the common and poor tend to trade with the Prang and Flamemen discreetly. On a side note, by the time of Earth's 20th century, Vagrants and other homeless tend to group together with other downtrodden members of the other species.

Common Taboos

Marrying out of your social circle and other species. Also communicating, sympathising and casually conversing with anybody lower than you is a taboo that is increasingly fading.

History

For as long as anybody can remember they had conflict with the flameman. Sometimes it came from actual malice from one party and sometimes it was accidents. Other times it was the racial hate developed over the centuries. What is know about their history is that at one point in the past the two races lived together and profited from each other but through unknown reasons due to a lack of historical or archeological evidence, devolved into a strained relation at best.
Around 1972 in Earth's calendar year, a massive social change occurred between Etherian Human prang and flamemen due to a massive desire to resolve infuriating racial tension. The events of this year, and the years surrounding it, kicked off a string of civil rights changed that affect the planet in the future. They socially evolved into something that would be progressive by 21st Earth Human standards.
Their technological development is oddly behind humanity by a few decades with their developmental history being stifled due to many lost works, ignorance or arrogance.
On a sidenote, CSIS and the CIA have been aware of them since sometime during the 20th century. Official first contact happened during the early 21st century.

Common Myths and Legends

There are numerous myths detailing heros becoming kings or gods spawning heros and kings. Note that many nobles and royalty claimed heritage to these heros and legends and there have been historical cases where this claim has been abused; this brings an interesting difficulty to historians due to the amount of propaganda produced. 2 known battles were caused by a claim dispute.
The common folk have their own folk tales. A common theme amongst the tales are the suffering of the populace under corrupt ruler (they are almost always grotesque and corrupt). Another one is the fighting of the establishment, the outcome usually ends in a wish fulfilment for the downtrodden.

Interspecies Relations and Assumptions

They noticeably have a racial hate to the Flamemen and Prang; the intensity shifts and changes over time. The common folk tend to have a more annoyed racial hate than one of high malice and are willing to trade and interact with both species for any resources. They higher class tends to have a more arrogant or malicious form of racism.
They are able to breed with other human species.

There architecture tends to incorporate round windows with the rich having a big hole that's connected to a lounge area. Reasons for a glassless window can vary from aesthetics to letting air in.
