The Kraken Isles
Where the Elves still truly call their home
The Kraken Isles are the home of the Elves, the last locales in the world that they may call their own. Slightly xenophobic and entirely self-sustained, the Elves of the Kraken Isles live mostly quiet lives in tune with nature, studying magic and the natural processes of the world.
Geography
The Kraken Isles are a collection of islands in a large archipelago, treated as its own continent due to the sheer number of islands in the chain. The largest is the southernmost, and the home of Lothlorien, the kingdom of the Wood Elves. It is almost completely dominated by a subtropical rainforest, though it is not quite a jungle. The other large islands are a part of Hyrule, the kingdom of the High Elves, and some are forested, made of mountains or small volcanoes, or are relatively flat. In between the islands are innumerable lagoons, reefs, and straits, where their smaller, sleeker boats have no trouble sailing.
Fauna & Flora
Most of the animals in the Kraken Isles are tropical, like sea turtles, exotic birds, various sea life like crustaceans and sharks, and on the larger islands there may be antelope and boar. Big cats live in Lothlorien's forests, and besides the Giant Eagles that live atop the taller mountains of Hyrule they are the apex predators. The tropical trees are mostly palms, though some mangroves and ironwoods grow in Lothlorien, along with darkwood and wraithwood trees.
