Duragh

Duragh is the equivalent to liches but for druids. Unlike liches though, they are almost always resurrected involuntarily by their respective forest in times of great needs. The forest will never create a duragh to defend itself; they are almost exclusively made to exact revenge. It is for this reason that they are dangerous to adventures and should be avoided at all costs. Very few survive their encounters with these monsters. While they retain all their memories of life, they have none of the same powers.
There are three primary varieties: Minor/False, Major/True, and Bane. Identification is key in determining how best to deal with the predicament you are in.

Qualifications

Minor or False Duraghs are druids who were buried outside of their homeland and after a certain amount of years are awoken by the nearest forest and asked to go home.  Major or True Duraghs who often were archdruids and resurrected for the purpose of exact revenge upon whoever is harming their homeland.  Bane Duraghs are uncommon and are created from archdruids who died angry in battle, their rage cursing their burial site until their return.

Accoutrements & Equipment

Minor/False Duraghs can be identified by their wooden mask, average height, capable of reduced wildshape, and usually physically stronger than a standard druid.  Major/True Duraghs can be identified by their stone masks, tall height (over 7ft), animal features, and often accompanied by a somewhat bizarre animal companion.  Bane Duraghs can be identified by their painted bone masks or animal skulls and large height.

Grounds for Removal/Dismissal

Minor/False Duraghs are just seeking to return to rest in their homeland and once there, they will finally find peace.  Major/True die their final deaths in one of two ways: their mother tree is killed or they complete their mission.
