Mercenary Guild

One of the political guilds formed by the signing of the Guildpact in Khavica, the Mercany Guild was formed from the highly trained mercenary army under control of House Arboix in years past. The guild serves as effectiely the three branches of the three military branches of Khavica. Each unit is run by its own master craftsman, who is answerable only to the guild master, Francisco Arboix. While the first branch may serve contracts for foreign conflicts, the others are meant to be a defensive force and are not intended for battle away from the shores of Khavica. Employment in the Mercenary Guild is considered to be a lifelong commitment and the guild takes care of its retirees better than any other guild.
Unlike most guilds, which make their money from dues and taxes on the members or the goods and products they sell, the Mercenary Guild is paid by the government and all other Khavican guilds for defending the homeland.

5,000 warriors, including cavalry, pikemen, archers, arbalists, and even a minor warmage presence.

History

Most notoriously, Griffon Company were used during the Dock Riots that broke out in the Alzira Docks in 1487 CY where they slaughtered many of the Dockworkers' Guild members who couldn't make it to the ships in time, whether they supported the rebellion or not.
