Heartlands
The Hearlands is a large expanse of flat land that divides Lamera , much of it covered in prairie, steppe, and grassland that lies north of Ballardan . Overland travel through it can be difficult due to the large amount of monstrous humanoids (primarily gnolls) that live there as well as some hostile tribal groups who attack outlanders encroaching upon their lands. Not all of the tribal peoples living here attack travelers however and many welcome the merchant caravans going to and fro Northern Lamera and Southern Lamera , bartering furs, hides, horses, and other resources for manufactured goods.
