Heartlander

Heartlanders have bronze skin, varying from a light copper hue to a dark, deep brown. Heartlanders eyes are usually brown, black, or amber. Hair is wavy or curly and typically black or brown in colour. Heartlands have strong jawlines and sturdy builds. While containing many clans, such as the Hawk Tribe and the Bear Tribe, they collectively refer to one another as "the Kin."
Heartlanders were the first known humans to live in the rugged prairie of the Heartlands . Some historians believe them to be descendants of a long dead civilization given the number of ruins within the Heartlands, but this civilization clearly vanished long ago. Heartlanders have been a primarily nomadic people for many centuries, managing to not only survive, but thrive in lands dominated by gnolls, orogs, and other monstrous humanoids.

Common Taboos

Neither earth nor a humanoid body was made to be cut into. The earth is sacred, so to cut too deep into "the earth's flesh" is a severe crime. Only the Nahdah may construct wells or organized digging.
