Corona of Sorofen

Said to be the crown of crowns, the Corona was forged by the Solar Empire on the eve of conquering all of Sorofen. It was meant to symbolize the beginning of the Solar Empires dominion over Sorofen, and the emperors rightful rule over all its people. It is said to be made of the same metal as the Clockwork warriors, as to remind every emperor why they have an empire to begin with, and inlaid with the rubies that were stolen from the dead Elven kings crown. Rumors also permit that various exotic runes were painstakingly etched upon its frame by the finest rune masters Sorofen had to offer, said to make the wearer close to a demigod in strength, charisma, speed, and intellect
The crown had laid upon the heads of every Solar Emperor, nearly as defended as emperors were, proving their divinity and right to rule over Sorofen. In the final days of the Solar Empire, Corona went missing. Some say that the guards protecting it went rogue and stole the crown for themselves, others say it was stolen by a master thief, while others think that it was simply lost in all the chaos that defined the Solar Empires final days.
Almost immediately, people from all over the continent began seeking it out, due to both its immense value and theoretically proclaiming the holder ruler of all Sorofen (though most of the continent wouldn't bow down to whoever found it, even if it was proven real.) People from all walks of life and ambition have sought after the crown over the centuries, most never finding even a clue of where it might be and many more perishing in the attempt. Wars have been waged when one side suspected another was either hoarding the crown or laid somewhere on their lands, and if there is even the slightest rumor or evidence that the crown might be somewhere, hundreds of adventurers, lords, and even peasant flock to the area to search every nook and cranny for the crown.
