The Great Dwarven Wars (2897-2963 AK)

Known to the Satyrs as Sfagmenakilos, the Great Dwarven Wars of 2897 to 2963 AK were a brutal series of conflicts that saw Dwarvish influence and power in Vrashyn collapse. After a long period of tense hostility, war broke out between the Elves and the Dwarvish Kingdoms of Thrundad, Vounas, and Dohir. The War ended in the Elves' favor when the Satyrs joined on the Elvish side. The Elves repaid centuries of Dwarvish aggression with atrocities rarely matched in Vrashyn's history, killing scores of civilians and trapping the Dwarves in the mountain communities where they remain to this day.   As a result of these conflicts, much of old Vounas and all of Thrundad are now controlled by the Rhovran Satyr kingdoms of Sakilos and Mikolosi, which did not exist previous to the conflict. The Dwarves of Dohir, while humiliated, were not slaughtered like their kinsmen in Vounas, though they did lose some land to the Elvish kingdom of Cirithas. Due to this difference in outcome, the Vounasi Dwarves are far more hostile to Satyrs and Elves than their Dohirin counterparts to this day.
