General Summary

Selling the Jewels

The Party arrived in Ramanthas in the morning, arriving in the teleportation circle near the Transmutation School of the University of Ramanthas. They entered the stone tree building to make their final plans, then departed to search for a jewelry store. A Goblin named Five-More-Silvers Joe brought them to one after Nyssa offered him a platinum coin, which bought his help for the day. The party sold most of the jewels, but when they retrieved them from their Bag of Holding they found that one of the crystals had been replaced by a spyglass of roughly equal value. The jeweler bought the quartz eagerly but wanted to set up a nighttime meeting with Tana to purchase the silver. The party didn't want to stay in the city that long, so they stood her up.

School of Transmutation

When The Party tried to set up a meeting with Nazh'echa S'ik Arv”ash, her secretary Zira told them the archmage was out in the bay "being seaweed." The party minus Nyssa waited in the library. Tana read about the god Goltha. Gwynnestri read about Changeling religion as a way to learn more abouth The Wanderer. Changeling mythology includes worship of extraplanar entities from the Shadowfell, a description that matches both The Wanderer and The Anchored. The Changelings live on the margins of society today, but believe that they once controlled the entire planet with the help of their shadowy patrons. When they returned to Nazh'echa's office, Zira relayed a story about ""Gwyn" being sat on while in book form. Nazh'echa then met with Gwynnestri and gave her permissing to purchase most of the spell scrolls she wanted, though she seemed to suspect that she wasn't being told the whole truth of why her student wanted them.

School of Divination

Nyssa and Five-More-Silvers Joe rejoined the rest of the group for their visit to the Divination School. The building had much tighter security than Gwynnestri's building, but the party was able to acquire one crystal ball and leave without incident.
