PW16 - Comfortable Stretching

The party found loot, levelled up, and stumbled into Bhasarkana.
Loot
The Party seemingly reached an agreement with the living Leonin Priest to open the chest. However, due to Louis' mind-reading abilities, they prevented her from stealing the Mantle of Athena, a magic item belonging to Bhasarkana. They distributed a tenth of the chest's contents to the mercenaries before sending them on their way. Merkyl Grump, the lone officer who survived the attack, offered to hire his soldiers out to the party as long as they didn't have to fight the Deviltongue Brutes. The party politely declined.News
The immediate threat of the fort now dealt with, The Party took some time for training and recuperating. A day after the attack on the fort, Zaluoh learned that a near-complete victory for the locals was denied by reinforcements that came from the fort. A couple days after that, Az Boldfinger informed Tana of the situation in Cirithas: the sub-kingdom of Ithron has defected to the Ramanthi side, though Holannun and much of the northern part of that kingdom remain loyal to the crown.Pemma's Past
After loudly complaining about how long it was taking for her to get back home, Pemma opened up a bit about her past. She told the party that Changelings like herself have both Feywild and Shadowfell ancestry, but that many of her kind have a greater affinity for the latter. Her mother was a shadow priestess who taught her many things about the Shadowfell before she and the rest of her band were killed by Muls.Changes in Form
After a few days of attempted self physical therapy, Nyssa called out to The Anchored for aid. She sent Nyssa a replacement limb in an unusual form: a sentient shadow spirit who can take the form of black vines. Meanwile, Gwynnestri took advantage of the downtime to try to contact Hermes through the Bag of Holding. She was successful, but didn't get much of a word in. The god turned her into a raven and said he wouldn't turn her back until she tracked down a Satyr named Seoz from the Deviltongue Brutes. Seoz stole something magical from Hermes, but the god was light on the details.Shadow Fight
In the late afternoon of Forunar 2, a panicked Bhasarkana flew over the camp. He was being attacked by creatures that existed halfway between Vrashyn and the Shadowfell, making them invisible and impervious to Bhasarkana's attacks. Nyssa's leg told her that her sword Blackvine and light magic would likely be effective at attacking the shadows. Nyssa pulled a screaming Bhasarkana out of the sky and began to fight off the shadows.Starting Date: Lodimar 23, Late Morning
