Fiend

Summary

Fiends are creatures native to the Outer Planes that include Demons, Devils, Yugoloths, and Rakshasa, among others. They are almost always evil-aligned and direct their mortal followers to destructive and violent ends to serve their interests. Fiends are created from the souls of those who make deals with evil gods or are otherwise particularly wicked in life.

War of the Sheath

Like on many planes, Vrashyn's fiends are at war with each other over The Sheath, which is another name for the Outer Planes. Allegiances in this war are ever-changing, with the only consistent alliance over the eons being that among the lawful-evil demons who originated on the plane of Topheth, though they have since spread to other planes. They are primarily resisted by the Celestials, who come from a variety of good-aligned planes. The place of other fiends in this war is haphazard: some join forces with the demons while others
