Dhaversland: The Ain'donum

Dhaversland is known for many a thing. It is especially known for its strange wildlife and abundance of flora that grows in the all-encompassing wildlife known as the Ain'donum. Surprisingly, when the humans and giant folk first began to cultivate and harvest timber, the trees and wildlife would grow back to their full strength in a matter of months and sometimes weeks. After decades of harvesting and foraging, they noted that the larger plants and trees would begin to defend themselves. Small hamlets and aspiring cities often set curfews, for nature itself would strike against them come nightfall if they were about the thickets. The people of Dhaversland that lived inside of the hills that overlook the lochs eventually decided to retaliate after the discovery of a practicing druid that had helped in orchestrating the initial attacks. This event is widely regarded as The Reclamation of Ainai'ro, the deity, and daughter of Sols and Duun.     After many hard-fought months against the wilds, a brave group of adventurers came across a hilltop with great stones heft in a circle nary one hundred feet in diameter. There they discovered something that would truly change the destiny of Dhaversland: men and women that, from the waist down, bore the bodies of horses and great deer. It was then that they were met with - surprisingly - hospitality as they were introduced to their elder, Torankus. Torankus was a strange sight to an outsider. On his four equine legs, he stood well over eight feet tall, his antlers like that of a great moose, and his skin was like that of bark and his eyes seemed to reflect the very pigment of the ground he stood upon. It is said that he was the keeper of the wilds in Dhaversland, but his connection was severed from her with the coming of these malevolent druids. He pleaded for their assistance, for he alone was not powerful enough to defeat this great evil that had twisted their beloved Ain'donum into a weapon of destruction. The adventurers agreed, and Elder Torankus accompanied them to the grounds in which the city Dunber was built beneath.     The party had slain many an evil summoner and made their way to an earthmote (a part of the land shifted from the earth during the Great Storm that now lingers in the air) via magical flight. There, they discovered that the leader of the druids known as Dorater was a dark elf, something that was once long considered extinct. He stood seven heads tall with chocolate features and down-turned ears. His bedraggled hair hung low in his face, partially obscuring his amber eyes and the rest of his tired face. To them, he explained what fate had brought him here. He explained that he was exiled from his home before the Storm began and he found himself in a strange land, helping a population of people regrow their crop and start anew. His memories were torn but the adventurers knew that the poor soul had gone mad, for he twitched, stammered, and wished to annihilate the entirety of the Dhavish populous to create what he called the "Rebirth of the Garden of Sols". A great battle issued on the floating isle, leading to the death of Torankus and two more of the mighty heroes, but not without Dorater falling beside them. Since then, it is said that the spirits of the heroes and Torankus still linger upon the isle known as Tsumbris, watching over the land and assuring the populous that the trees still stand as tall as the day they fell.     The wildlife of Dhaversland still lives on, some of the flora still animated from the days of The Reclamation are hostile to invaders, and just as many are helpful. Truly, no wilds in Ordia match the ferociousness and beauty like that of the Ain'donum.

Geography

The Ain'donum is a landscape vast in size, color, and shape. One could walk hundreds of miles with nothing but the great confer trees and the brightly colored bluebells and thistles that weave a beautiful quilt across the rolling hills between the trees. Rivers and streams ebb and flow depending on the season due to runoff from the Muiraces. Visitors of Dhaversland wholesome agree that the most refreshing water is from the rivers that lead to the many lochs of Exsamos. Bogs and swamps are common near and around the kingdom of Examos (southern Dhaversland) due to the continuous runoff. Though nothing can compare to the Greathills were the first human settlers once lived on the western coast. Not many places are left in Vhosparus where you can simply look out and enjoy the sun setting upon the land, engulfed by a lovely array of pink, red, yellow, and cream-colored poppy flowers.
