The elven race is shattered.

The elves having been created by; Corellon, Sehanine, and Lolth existed in the Feywild for generations.

After the Dawn War Lolth seemed changed, more evil. It was rumored she had been corrupted after a trip into the Abyss. Due to reasons unknown she began to corrupt her priests. Eventually these elves turned on their kin.

A civil war broke out in the Feywild between the followers of Corellon/Sehanine and Lolth, this war devastated both the elves and Feywild. Eventually the dark elves were defeated and cast out of the Feywild onto the mortal plane. Several other elves also followed, leaving the Feywild.
