As the Melectian Epoch rose, Rafoo slowly took hold of a man completely corrupted by his innate desire for complete stasis. Without his counterbalance, he began to influence the mortal plane, and soon the mortals took to him. Deceived by the deity, a Prophet granted a portion of influence and created the Church of Stasis. Not knowing this action would be the prelude to the end of an era.

Rafoo's Subtle Influence

With the descent of Melecta onto the mortal plane, an event that sent ripples of chaos across the world, there needed to be a return to balance. For this Rafoo Moe Pourri chose a more clandestine approach. Rather than descending himself, he imparted a fragment of his essence, a [Third] of his divine power, to a mortal prophet. This prophet, armed with profound oratory skills and a deep understanding of Rafoo's philosophy, began to convert many to the ways of order and stability, a guise for Rafoo's true aim of complete stasis.

The Birth of the Church of Stasis

Under the prophet's guidance, the Church of Stasis emerged, preaching the virtues of unyielding order and the cessation of change. The prophet's gift, known as the [Third] of Rafoo, later materialized into three sacred texts - the Thirds of Rafoo. These scriptures, penned through the prophet as a proxy, became the bedrock of the Church's doctrine, spreading Rafoo's influence across the lands.

The Fragmentation of Ancient Kingdoms

As the Church of Stasis gained momentum, the ancient kingdoms, once steadfast and unbroken, began to fracture under the weight of belief and divine will. Followers of Stasis, driven by the teachings of the Thirds of Rafoo, sought refuge in Gatuanda, the only region unscathed by the burgeoning conflict.

Gatuanda's Transformation

The westward exodus of Stasis believers transformed Gatuanda. The once-neutral territory became a stronghold of the Church of Stasis, as the Prophet's [Third] corrupted its inhabitants, turning them into fervent adherents. This shift tipped the scales, leaving the Church of Flux outnumbered and on the defensive.

The Stalemate and Impending War With the rugged mountains serving as a natural barrier, a tense stalemate ensued. Both sides, acutely aware of the impending clash, began to marshal their forces. The first holy war loomed on the horizon, a war not just of armies but of ideologies – the dynamic flux versus the unyielding stasis.
