Qualifications
No real education, will be taught to identify different ores and how to handle them. Need strength and endurance
Career Progression
There isn't much rankage, they all get the same tools, and mine. New miners may mine at higher levels than older and more experienced miners who will mine at lower more dangerous levels, but experience is gained rather quickly and it is often random who mines at what elevation.

They all receive 18 silver per day of work.
Other Benefits
They are recognized as one of the three bases of society; miners, farmers, and lumberjacks. These three gather the resources for a society to thrive and grow.

It hasn;t really changed, they gather materials from the earth to use in construction and smithing.

They use pickaxes of varying materials (generally iron or steel, although primitive groups used stone pickaxes), hammers, and explosives (gunpowder barrels Also have torches and lanterns to light their way.
Workplace
They work in quarries, caves, and mines. There may be cranes, carts, and piles of ores or stones.
Dangers & Hazards
There are dangers, mines can collapse, there can be a lack of oxygen causing suffocation, and other accidents that can harm or maim somebody.
