The Grand Skiffor Tower

The Grand Skiffor Tower is the most ancient monument in the world. It exists as it has for thousands of generations, preserved by the power within. It channels all magic into a source that can be used and by mortals. The magic flowing throughout the tower is what allows the tower to withstand the destructive forces of the elements, and remain in pristine condition.

The Elves have used the tower and the magic within to form a counsel of druids, feeding off the pure magic and bending it to their will. They spend most of their time meditating and absorbing the magic, growing stronger each day. This is a most sacred monument to all Elves and is considered a place of worship and peace. No harm can come to those in the tower, protected by the pure magic within.

Purpose / Function

There is no true purpose to The Tower, it is assumed to have existed as long as the world itself. It has been theorised that Skiffor is the bridge between the magic world and out own. It serves as the place of residence of the High Elven Druids, who gain power the longer they meditate and absorb the pure magic that run through the tower.

Alterations

No matter how hard the high Elven Druids try, the physical shape of the tower and all it contains cannot be altered. Skiffor is protected by the purest of magics, allowing it to have existed for thousands of generations.

Architecture

The Tower is constructed heavily of the purest white marble, gold running down the crevasses and the green wisps of magic that flow through the centre of the monument. Old granite flagstones mark the path leading to each of the four entrances at the base of the Tower.

History

Skiffor has existed as long as the world itself. Many schollars believe it was a "fountain" of pure magic used and created by the ancient Dragons that used to dominate the lands. Very little is known about the structure as it has never taken any ware or damage throughout its many ages, leaving no stories about its past.

Tourism

It is considered such a sacred monument that all pilgrims are turned away by the druid's guards.
