Storm Kin

The Storm kin are humanoids settled in the Dead land. They worship the everlasting storm as a god and are rewarded with the power of dead thunder. The power of the dead thunder is displayed on their bodies as shining blue markings. These markings can appear anywhere on the body and take any shape. Some have them only on their arms or face, some are completely covered in the markings. These markings dictate the level of power that can be summoned via dead thunder.

Culture

Common Dress code

No clothing is necessary as they are protected from the everlasting storm so have no need for clothing protection. Clothing would also hide the storm markings on their body, which would be undesirable to many.

Art & Architecture

They build their huts out of stone they can easily take from the mountains via dead thunder.

Birth & Baptismal Rites

Once they reach 15 years of age, they are sent to the very center of the island and accept the gift from the storm god. They are struck by the storm and are given their markings, giving them the power of dead thunder.

Ideals

Beauty Ideals

The brighter the storm markings are, the more powerful the gift is within the individual. Those with the brightest markings are held high amongst the tribe and are treated as the leaders of the tribe.

Gender Ideals

An even number of males and females is desired at all times.

Courtship Ideals

The tribe is very isolated so courtship can only occur with the members of the tribe.

Relationship Ideals

The entire tribe is treated as one family, so relationships are mostly frowned upon, only reproducing to keep the tribe alive.
