Hix Stick

The Hix Stick is the chosen writing instrument used by the Sun Elves. Their culture note all historical events as carvings into soft clay. Once hardened, that history is permanently set into the walls of their palaces. The sticks have a triangular cross-section, making all markings easily identifiable as Sun Elf scripture. The unique shape and method of writing have shaped the script, only being able to be correctly written by these tools.    Writings are commonly recorded on an unhardened clay tablet. Once the writing is complete, the tablet is left in the sun to harden and save the writing. Other writing have been written directly onto the walls of their palace during its construction. These texts are ancient and depict the beginning of the Sun Elf people.

Significance

All text carvings throughout the Sun Elf kingdom are written with the hix stick. It has been found to be the most appropriate tool for text carving and has significantly impacted the shapes of the Sun Elf's script. Any markings made with this tool are easily traced to them.
