Bishop of Blood
A Bishop of Blood is an elite member of the vampire clan in Grast. They are given immense power and immortality. Those who have earned this power have already proven their potential by killing an Ancient.
Requirements
Those who drink the blood of the ancients gain so much power they are unrivaled by lesser vampires. For this, they are given special status among the immortal families. Those with the ancient blood within them cannot gain this status, only those who obtain it during life can.
Appointment
Once a lesser vampire has killed an ancient, they are required to drain the blood into a vial and present it to the Vampire Saint, the head of the clan. There, the blood is examined to prove its origin. After the blood has been approved, the blood is consumed by the lesser vampire, transforming them into an immortal vampire.
Benefits
They are given eternal life, as well as increased strength. They are also given the ability to hide their vampire appearance, allowing them to live among men without detection.
Accoutrements & Equipment
Those with the title are given deep red capes and headdresses to display their importance. As they can alter their physical appearance, many choose to make their fangs much larger than those of lesser vampires. The regular black and silver attire can be altered to include red accents if the vampire desires. Most Bishops of Blood opt for red or silver claws on their gauntlets.
Grounds for Removal/Dismissal
If the Bishop of Blood has broken any of the clan's laws, the Vampire Saint is required to drain the lifeforce from the Bishop, killing them.
History
The first Bishop of Blood had obtained the power simply by feeding on an Ancient, granting the vampire immense power. This vampire was swiftly killed by the Vampire Saint, afterwards creating the ritual to grant this power himself.
