Duwat'Almari

The Alsafari regard the Duwat'Almari as manifestations of, Rajul-Eajuz min-Alsahra, the god of the desert. They have a deep respect for these sandworms. They have somehow adapted to living along side the terrible predator. At one point it was believed that the sandworms were the source of Mezaraq, but this was because the sandworms tended to lay their eggs near rocky outcrops which is where the Sand Rose grows. 

The Duwat'Almari or commonly referred to as the Sand Worms of Harq'nar, are massive worms that can grow in excess of 100 yards. They live in the dune sea under the sand, waiting for something to grab it's attention.

Little is know about the sandworms, as the Alsafari regard them as sacred and have been known to attack hunters searching for the great worms.
