Orion Amphitheater

This amphitheater has stone circles of layers which serve as seats. There aren't many rows, but they are a bit steep. They look out onto a stone platform in the lowest point of the Amphitheater that also connects with the edge of the grassland and hangs somewhat over towards the sea. When stepping down, you not only have a great view of the platform, but also the great Harmonious Deep. If you look closely, you can see ships sailing between the islands farther away onto the ocean.

Purpose / Function

The Orion Amphitheater is for bigger performances that won't fit inside the taverns or the Orion Opera House. Most often these are performances that require a lot of audience participation, have to use every inch of space, or require ships to have when looking at the performance.

Architecture

The style of the Amphitheater is comparable to greek architecture. The stone slabs and the plateau resemble a greek amphitheater, leading up to the coast. At the "back" of the Amphitheater is not a building, but the edge of the land to the Harmonious Deep.

History

After Orion Venrie left Beckinsale, many guilds and organisations were formed to get Beckinsale back on it's track. One of the organisations was the Promise of Felicity guild. Once Orion left, they formed their guild and made sure to make something to honor the great bard.
Because of this, the guild has made the Orion Opera House and the Orion Amphitheater in order to honor his greatness and to always be reminded that the great bard saved the town with his kindness and love.
