The Supernovae event destroyed the Randon system as it was known. The dual supernovae, triggered one right after the other, obliterated most of the system and left the remnants of the planet Randon a wasteland, drifting in space. Now the system is bathed in EM radiation and unpredictable solar satellites.

The Randon Supernovae Event was observed and calculated over millennia. Stellar observers from across the Mid-Rim recorded the increase in mass and radiation of the binary system, preparing for when one of the stars would go critical. Instead, in an extraordinarily rare turn of events, both stars went critical nearly immediately one after the other, pulling each one closer to their barycenter and leaving them in micro-orbits. The result was beautiful, but devastating.

Years before, several evacuation attempts were made to convince the local Randoni population to move off-world and re-settle. However, despite the signs and the science, many stayed within the system, pushing their goals further and harder; clinging to the desperate hope that they could finish their business- they could amass their wealth before the destruction. They couldn't. While many were successfully relocated across the Rim, there were several who died on Randon and during the Event.

As the system was engulfed, most planetary bodies were also destroyed, sundered in the radiation and heat. The solar satellites scattered across the system, breaking apart and forming new orbits and patterns. While the main trade planet of Randon itself was turned into a broken planet- a wasteland of barren rock and exposed architecture. They say many hidden vaults of the native Randoni line its surface and underground- a vast hoard of wealth for those skilled enough...
