At the advent of Duvoch to the world stage, a number of technologies made their debut thanks to discoveries made within the Citadel. Chief among these was a form of holographic projection in which light particles concentrated within a nanoscaled grid causes enough collisions to form the sensation of a solid object. Commercialized as "Solid Light" technology, it swiftly became a major entertainment export in Duvoch, as well as an architectural/infrastructural tool and part of daily life for many citizens.
Entertainment Solid Light can be seen most commonly in the use of media - and primarily in actual media devices. Companies like Shiba and Hux are the largest producers of mobile phones and their ARMask accessories, granting SL tech to the general populace.

Utility

No citizen in Duvoch is without a mobile by choice. The connectedness it provides is essential to social life, including access to Alexandria, SoMe, friends and family, bank accounts, and personal data storage. To disconnect in Duvoch is to effectively choose homelessness. Despite this risk, some citizens prefer staying off-grid and maintain their funds through other means, such as ghost hux accounts or chi coins.
As with any mobile technology that becomes part of common usage, the SL tech utilized by mobiles and ARMasks are often hacked by those willing to risk the immense charges brought to those who imitate licensed vigilantes. Regardless, ARMask hacking is popular and allows users to bypass a lot of security they might otherwise be barred from, or have a way to lay low for a few days.

SL is widely available in controlled cases, with most Duvochian citizens owning a mobile and only licensed vigilantes gaining permissions to use ARMask features. Otherwise, SL is commonly used in city infrastructure projects such as supporting structures as they are built, traffic lights, and road markings. SL has strong presence in commercial fields as well, from signage to billboards to adspace on restaurant and bar tables.

Discovery

Solid Light, like many other technologies prevalent in Duvoch's economy, found its origin in the CItadel. Stories vary on how exactly engineers and archaeologists first discovered the nanoscale light grids that would lead to modern SL, but the most popular involves an apprentice trying to seduce the projection of the Citadel's AI, Alexandria.
