Sindala Singh Code Name: Akali Role: Coordinator As a daughter of one of the Council of Nine, Sindala has lived a life without financial struggle, but one of expectations. Perhaps out of love, perhaps out of rebellion, she married overseas. When Sindy, her mother, and her wife were flying back into Duvoch, the plane experienced a cataclysmic failure and crashed. Sindala was left less one eye, one parent, and one spouse. The investigation called to a close prematurely, and Sindy lost faith in the Vigilante system. She became a detective with the Duvoch Police Department - technically still a vigilante group, but one which conducted itself as law enforcement in other countries. Still, Sindy felt frustrated with the red tape and corruption, and found her way to the Coyote, where she could operate according to her own sense of justice. She even began dating again, seeing the documentarian of the Expansionist Movement, Tori Miles. Almost always at odds with Laer over leadership of the crew, Sindy would like nothing more than to one day throw him under the bus as the “One, True Coyote” and wash her hands of the whole thing.

Like many Sikh women, Sindala chooses to show her faith by wearing the five articles, kesh kept sometimes under a daastar, kanga kept within her hair, kara on her left wrist, kirpan at her waist, and kachera that she might use the kirpan on anyone who saw, save Tori. Alongside this, Sindala fancies the utilitarian garb of the vigilante - long leather coat for warmth and concealment, gloves, boots, padded pants. Over her missing eye, she wears a Deschain-Industries Oculore, a mild prosthetic which gives Sindy peripheral sense and depth compensation, if not full vision. Though she has been offered superior eyewear since then, she has become accustomed to her perspective of the world and has no wish to change it.
