Eveyan Magic (uh-VAY-un)

Eveyan Magic draws arcane energy from Eveya which is channeled primarily into healing and constructive magic.

Manifestation

Eveyan Magic will manifest primarily into healing and constructive magic. As a result, the majority of medical practitioners in Vexum have aligned themselves to Eveyan Magic and use it in their work. Additionally, some specialist craftspeople align with Eveyan magic in order to repair detailed creations, such as watches and clocks. Examples of other professions that align with Eveyan magic include:

• Botanists, Herbalists, and Gardeners
• Opticians, watchmakers, and other specialist detailed craftsmen
• Combat medics, frontline soldiers, and bodyguards

When casting spells with Eveyan energy there is often a white, yellow, or light blue manifestation of arcane energy. The manifestation depends on the intensity and purpose of the spell, with the power of the spell affecting how much light is given off by the manifestation of energy.

White

White light often depicts the use of a restorative healing spell on biological, living matter to repair it from superficial damage. For example, the healing of a sword wound in a soldier's body, or the reattachment of a stalk cut from a plant.

Light Blue

Light blue light often depicts the use of a restorative spell on non-biological materials. This would include repairing a splintered wooden chair leg, reshaping a warped gear in a watch, or reinforcing a hole blasted into a wall.

Yellow

Yellow light depicts the most difficult type of Eveyan magic to create: the manipulation of life itself. Yellow light will appear in spells that affect non-superficial damage to living biological tissue, such as the curing of disease in a person or plant. Examples of spells that would manifest yellow light also include when skilled mages channel Eveyan magic in order to accelerate growth in plants or alter the biochemistry of a person.

Alignment

The following traits are typical of Eveyan civilizations, however, each will have their own variations and customs. Additionally, these are traditions and beliefs that have developed in [PLANE 2] and have little to no affiliation with what Eveya, the place itself, is like. Mages who align with Eveyan magic often believe they are embodiments of good and Ignifian Magic is a destructive evil. They feel a need to protect the world from Ignifian Magic while promoting that their own way of life is constructive and beautiful and should be shared.
General positives observed in communities aligned with Eveya include:

• Extremely low crime rates and intense social responsibility
• Almost a complete lack of destruction or fighting
• Primarily focused on maintaining and improving life for everyone, no matter who they are

There do also generally exist downsides to Eveyan alignment, such as:

• Harbor a dangerous hatred for Ignifian Magic
• Refusal of ideas that contradict their beliefs
• Failure to see that their hatred for Ignifian Magic will cause pain. The world is in balance but they don't see that. To them any existence of Ignifian Magic needs to be destroyed.
• People who need help are 'healed' and must join the Eveyan way of life in order to receive the help they need.
