The Cloaked Serpent

The Cloaked Serpent, Zehir, is the evil patron of assassins, poisoners, and murderers. He created the [Yuan-ti(species)] from his own shed skin, and every deadly poison in the world is said to have come from his fangs. The Yuan-ti are his primary worshipers now, but while most of his cult was supposedly wiped out during the Dawn War, it's entirely possible that they just went underground. They are a secretive lot, after all.
Zehir is depicted as a massive black cobra, or in yuan-ti temples, as a creature with a scaly humanoid torso attached to a serpentine body and head. No matter which, he always has his fangs bared and hood opened as if ready to strike. These statues frequently loom over sacrificial altars, where he gazes down at the unfortunate souls who are about to be given to him.

Zehir's domain is assassination and murder by any means, especially poison. He is also the father of all serpentfolk, including yuan-ti and nagas, and is often worshiped by evil-aligned lizardfolk as well.

Tenets of Faith

• Keep your acts obfuscated and secret. The dark is your greatest ally.
• Strike quickly and without reason. Blind the target with their own confusion.
• Kill slowly. Agonizingly. Or worse, make them beg for it.
