Viceroy Mingzhu Qing

Qing Mingzhu (青 明珠) is the bronze dragon Viceroy of Penglai. He rose to the position through wisdom and bravery. First, he spent his youth as a warrior of Bahamut, fighting evil at sea; his prowess as a fighter and tactician won him a place on the Emperor's council after he lost his left front leg to a kraken. A century and a half of good service earned him the Emperor's trust, so when the previous Viceroy (the copper Tong Yanguan) retired, Mingzhu was given the job.
Mingzhu is considered a just ruler, if a bit protective of his people.

Physical Description

Body Features

In his natural form, Mingzhu is an adult bronze dragon of slightly smaller than average size. His left front leg is mostly gone below the shoulder, replaced by a prosthetic made of finely-worked bronze; he still limps, but gets around all right.
When he polymorphs to take on human form, he adopts the form of a Cathayan man with graying bronze hair, dressed in the robes of a high-ranking government official. His face has the weather-beaten look of an old sailor, and he appears well into his fifties, but there's a lively sparkle in his aquamarine eyes. Even in this form, his left arm is prosthetic -- but he can't polymorph his magical limb, so he has a separate one for his human form.

Apparel & Accessories

As a marker of his station, Mingzhu wears a collar of blue silk brocade bearing the official seal of Penglai Province on the clasp. On formal occasions, the uniform includes a matching headpiece that drapes over his crest, decorated with dangling pearls and coral.
