Alarica Willowbrook was born in eastern Avalon to a human father and a wood elf mother. Like many half-elves, she never quite felt at home among either side of her family (though both sides mostly welcomed her), so once she reached adulthood, she left home and set out for the frontier. Alarica distinguished herself as one of the first explorers to chart more than a quarter-mile into the Silent City and live to tell of it, using creative applications of magic to slip through the automated defenses. Those discoveries, among others, earned her considerable fame and fortune, a reputation that she leveraged into a political career when she eventually returned home.
