The Testimony of the White Blade

The holy words of the Dark Elf Fastroth Indrun, when he first revealed himself as a god.

The Infernal Dvedar cursed you with this white blade, for they despise you. They know not what they have done.   Behold, as this blade that made you mortal becomes the instrument of your divine salvation.   I, Fastroth Indrun, have become a god. No being but a god can wield a blade such as this. Behold my visage.   I am ascended from crude flesh to rule the realm of the moon and sun. I soar, unbound, beneath the veil of eternity.   I am your destiny and your god. You belong not to Thengalir, who made you, nor Eostria, who shaped you. They have abandoned you. You are my children, born of the white blade and the machinations of fate.   Turn your backs to your golden-skinned kin. Do not despair of your new faces. You are more than they ever were.   Do not think of yourselves as lesser than they. They are finite. When the last of their number dies, your descendants shall be numerous.   You plead for your old lives, but they have become dust.   You fear death. Do not, for it is a gift. All things must die. If your work is unfinished I shall send you back until it is complete. That is the power I wield.   My brothers and I will lead you into the West. A land awaits you where you may thrive if you follow my commands.   I leave you with these commandments, that you might live as your god intends.   You shall take only that which is given.   You shall prove your worth and work to become more worthy.   You shall not stray from the true path.   A time will come where we must leave you. There will be great hardships and trials on the road to ultimate salvation. Look for the coming of a prophet who will guide you as we have done.   Your foes are arrayed against you. I breathe now, in godhood and majesty; behold my breath as devastation.   I do this for you, my children, for I love you.
