Dark Runes

Early Dark Tribe members found that most languages were not large or complex enough to encapsulate the ideas that these scientists and philosophers wanted to express to one another, So they made a system of writing that could easily and concisely communicate fundamental scientific and philosophical principles as a way of combining and tweaking them in their minds to further their civillization.

Writing System

As a language of philosophers, Most runes in the alphabet have a second, symbolic meaning denoted by the image.

Syntax

Expressed ideas or sentences are written from top to bottom in Dark runes, with further lines progressing from left to right.   Speceficity is expressed as a rune in brackets. For instance, if you wanted to say "This bridge is out" you would put the rune for "bridge" in brackets: "[Bridge] is out." If you add any descriptors to the word in brackets, they go into the brackets too. so if you said "The red bridge is out" you would put red in the brackets as well: "[Red Bridge] is out." You can also nest brackets within brackets for more complex ideas. "The red bridge of the black forest is out" would translate as "[Red Bridge [Black Forest]] is out."   The word "and" is usually expressed as a line between the two ideas it's linking.
Spoken by
Common Phrases
Means "let it be." Pictured here is a rock embedded in the ground, something permanent to symbolize the undeniable truth of the statement coming afterward.
Means "Record" as a noun. The vertical lines denote the direction in which you read Dark runes, top to bottom, then left to right.
Means "History" or "Past." Depicts the sun (or perhaps moon) going down to the west, an event which, to the Dark Folk, was perpetually in the past.
Means "We" or "Us". The rune depicts a bowl of liquid, which is no longer individual drops but a united body.
Means the "Dark" in "Dark tribe". The rune depicts two closed eyes, signifying a lack of understanding, which is at the core of the Dark Tribe philosophy; "One thing we know, and that is we know nothing."
Means "Tribe" or "Family". The rune depicts a rope or cord tied in a knot, symbolizing the invisible bonds of family.
Means "to prevent" or "to guard against." The rune depicts a wall stopping a motion from the right, which is coming from the future, as it is coming from both from the lines of text that have not been read yet and from the east, which is the sunrise, an event perpetually in the future.
Means "Forget." Here we see the rune for "Mind", which is a four-pointed star, being escaped by a line of motion, signifying a fact or memory leaving the mind and being forgotten.   Put them all together in order, add a conjunction between "Record" and "History", bracket the words "Dark Tribe", and you get the opening words of the records on the Temple of Darkness; "Let this be a Record and a History of we, the Dark Tribe, Lest we forget..."

In my opinion runes do not make the language more complex and scientific. It's the other way around. Reading a scientific text with runes could be confusing as runes have multiple meanings/interpretations. 2 different scientist would come to 2 different conclusions based on their interpretation. One could succeed while other would fail.

You are correct; being a runic language does not inherently make it more scientific. It wasn't really supposed to, but it's also supposed to be a language Where scientists, philosophers, and theologians can combine their ideas to further their understanding. That and, with the proper rules, a runic script can be every bit as precise as a non-runic one. Just look at Japanese! that's... that's runes, right?
