Cult of the Overseer

Not all voices coming from the void are good. Promises of power and glory stretching out from the abyss have led many creatures to devote their lives to worship of malevolent beings from between the stars. Of these, none are quite so prevalent or devoted as the cult of the overseer.

Public Agenda

The agenda of the cult is expressly to free the overseer from his banishment into the void, whereupon he shall cleanse all lands by fire and stone and elevate his most devoted of followers to be his lieutenants in the new world.

Assets

One could say that the most valuable of the cult's assets is their secrecy; Membership is always kept a secret and cultists seem to have the uncanny ability to disappear just before any authorities can find them. On the rare occasions that the members of the cult are on an errand that would incriminate them, they disguise themselves in dark robes and armored masks painted with the symbols of their god. The cult also seems to have no trouble acquiring military-grade equipment, implying they may have members in the highest levels of the Conflux.

Granted Divine Powers

Occasionally, a faithful member of the cult may be granted special abilities similar to those of a psion and given the title of warlock. Warlocks have been known to conduct rituals to contact their deity and unleash terrible telepathic and energy-bending powers on and off the battlefield. It is beleived by many within the cult that warlocks will be the ones to ascend with the overseer once he is free.
