Þumalak's Cave (Thoo-muh-lock)
Just South of Dreska- forming the border between it and Kovura- is Þumalak's Spine, a chain of small mountains that stretches from the edge of the continent into Verlanauk.
In the early Druqt Grövur, the Þumalak family took control of their small village following a dissolution of power. They were already very well respected, and made well keeping the village from completely falling apart. Though they were already considered nobles, their push for trade of Blue Silk significantly grew the wealth of the village, and themselves.
In the years leading to their eventual dissolution, it's said that the heir to their wealth recognized the shortcomings of their parents and while they were away, stole as much gold, jewelry, coins and gems as they could carry, storing it all within a secret cave in the mountains upon which their estate was built.
The heir was never seen again, thought to have either ran away or have been killed. Upon the parents' return, their money had been stolen and their son had vanished, causing the people of the town to believe that they had their own child killed for stealing their inheritance.
No one knows where the heir truly went, but this event was what sparked the quick downfall of the Þumalaks, and the town went through yet another reformation.
Today, the Þumalak estate stands in ruin after being burned and demolished, overlooking the great cities that came to Dreska following their fall. Some claim to have found the hidden wealth in that secret place, but extensive searches have yet to truly unearth such a cave.
