Powered Armour, Personal

Personal Powered Armour was used to supplement the ability of the infantryman. It provided protection from small caliber rounds and shrapnel to the individual. It was powered by a Class II Sky Crystal. The armour allowed the soldier to carry more and increased stamina for prolonged fighting.

The Armoured Infantry would be used as shock troops or stationed in crucial areas to be defended.

Inventor(s)

Hafdan Anvilborn created the initial prototype after hearing about the horrific injuries sustained by soldiers during in the Chantli Revolution. Realising he couldn't stop wars from happening, he set out to create a device that would help survivability of the combat soldier. He demonstrated the prototype to several countries and they liked the machine so much they put in orders by the thousands. Unfortunately Anvilborn couldn't produce enough, so he sold contracts for the technology, and countries ran with it. Creating various types.

Most militaries have units equipped with the armour. The Armoured Infantry would be used as shock troops or stationed in crucial areas to be defended.

Complexity

Modern Technology hasn't quite allowed powered armour to be issued to every soldier. The armour is either cast or welded together, and the Engine that runs it requires fine precision tooling.
