Losing both his parents in a Nyactalus attack at the age of four, Milton grew up resenting the bat like creatures that plagued his home. This resentment gave rise to a strong desire for revenge against the Nyactalus as well as a strong desire to protect the weak. This lead to a very predictable enlistment in the town guard.

Motivated by revenge and a desire to protect the weak, Milton trains his body and mind to better protect his home and to better fight against the Nyactalus. This intense drives sees all of Milton's free time spent either training in the barracks or training on the ballistae mounted on the wall.
