Sanddrift Ruins
Proof that the sands can scour life from its surface or bury it beneath its weight. The Town of Sanddrift was hardly old, but began to sink some hundred years ago. What disturbed people at the time was that no one knew. While the city sank, no refugees left, none who lived warned others of its fate, and any who visited the area during that time never returned. It was as if all the residents of the town simply vanished, and the town was swallowed by The Sabal'Har.
Whatever the cause of such an event, people only speak of it in folk tales and stories as cursed. Caravans give it a wide berth and even hardened desert-folk dare not venture there. So for almost a hundred years none have approach the sun bleached ruins that protrude awkwardly from the sand, even to learn the cause of its demise. Some secrets are better kept.
